Human Remains Found in Columbia Expected to be Identified This Week

Human remains found at the Rock Bridge State Park last week are expected to be identified on Friday.

The Boone/Callaway Medical Examiner’s Office is reporting they have a forensic anthropologist looking for signs of injury and examining the scene where the human remains were found last week.

Columbia Police say they believe the skeletal remains found, belong to Mengqi Ji Elledge a Columbia mother who has been missing since October 2019.

Her husband Joseph Elledge is charged with her murder and his 3 week jury trial is scheduled to start November 1st.
