Protest Over New Trash Collection System Planned During Columbia City Council Meeting

Protestors in Columbia are planning to demonstrate their opposition to the city’s new trash collection system tonight (Monday) during the city council meeting.

Organizers are asking people to bring trash bags filled with old clothes or blankets.

Bags that are not taken home at the end of the protest will be donated according to a social media post.

The group will also be collecting signatures to help lift the ban on roll carts.
