Columbia School Bus Driver Fired After Video Surfaces Showing Reckless Driving

A bus driver is fired following a video of a Columbia Public School bus swerving in and out of lanes on Highway 63 on Tuesday night.

Columbia Public Schools parent Lizzandra Abshier says she was driving in her car with her children and a school bus was swerving in and out of lanes recklessly, nearly hitting vehicles.

Abshier recorded how the bus driver was driving on her phone and said the driver was slumped over with at least one child on the bus at the time of the incident.

Student Transportation of America, which provides bus services under contract with Columbia Public Schools, released a statement saying that the driver had been fired.
