Prosecutors Charge Jefferson City Man Following Road Rage Incident and Stabbing

A Jefferson City man is now charged with assault and armed criminal action after a road rage incident and stabbing on Tuesday.

Prosecutors charged Riley Elgin yesterday (Wednesday).

He is accused of following the victim in his vehicle to the 200 block of Vista Road, where police say the stabbing took place.

Police say the victim was stabbed in the chest and had a cut on his eye, however will survive.

Witnesses provided photos and video of Elgin’s vehicle and police were able to find Elgin in his garage with the car where an arrest was made.

Elgin is being held in the Cole County Jail without bond.
