The Mexico Bulldogs High School Baseball Team picked up a 7-2 win over the Fulton Hornets in a rain shortened game last night (Thursday) in Mexico.

Ty Prince put a triple, Daeye Miller was 1-1 and drew 3 walks with a stolen base.

Josh Forbis, William Dobyns, and Jack Wilburn combined to pitch 5 innings, giving up just 2 hits and 0 earned runs.

Wilburn struck out 4. Mexico evened their record at 5-5 and improved to 3-2 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

Up next the Bulldogs face North Callaway on Monday.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 3-1 in their home opener yesterday (Thursday).

Nolan Arenado propelled the Redbirds to victory with a 2 run game winning home run in the 8th inning.

Adam Wainwright went 5 innings in his 6th career home opener allowing 5 hits with 6 strikeouts.

Alex Reyes picked up his third save.

The Cardinals have now won 4 straight and have the day off today.

They will resume with the Milwaukee Brewers tomorrow with a 1:15 start.

The Kansas City Royals were shut out 6-0 by the Chicago White Sox yesterday.

In hockey tonight the St. Louis Blues remain at home to host the Minnesota Wild.
