Woman Dies in Jefferson City Accident

An 85-year old Jefferson City woman is dead following an accident in the capital city this morning (Tuesday).

Jefferson City Police say the accident just before 10:30 happened at Highways 179 and 54 when an SUV driven by Jackie S. Wells struck a pickup driven by 52-year old Danielle R. Malzner of Russelville.

Both drivers were extricated by Jefferson City firefighters, Malzner was taken to a Columbia hospital with serious injuries.
