Johnson & Johnson Vaccine to Restart in U.S.

Johnson & Johnson vaccines in the United States are set to resume after a health panel gave approval last night (Friday).

The panel met around 4pm to discuss resuming the use of the J&J vaccine after reports of 6 women developed a potentially fatal blood clot after getting the J&J vaccine.

Advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are saying the vaccine’s benefits outweigh the risks of the rare blood clots.

The Missouri Department of Health and Human Services says Johnson & Johnson vaccinations can resume immediately and allocations from the federal government can resume next week.
