Investigation Underway in Callaway After Explosive Related Objects Found at McCredie Lake Conservation Area
An investigation is continuing in Callaway County after two suspicious explosive related objects were found yesterday (Wednesday) morning at the McCredie Lake Conservation Area on Old Highway 40.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office took the report on the University of Missouri property and called in the Missouri Highway Patrol’s bomb squad to the scene.
According to Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism the objects were not of a regulated model and were of a homemade type design.
Chism says there is no threat to the community and a criminal investigation is underway.
