The Mexico High School Boys Tennis Team is the number 2 seed in their District bracket that was released yesterday (Wednesday).

Mexico will host Father Tolton at the Fairground Netplex at 4:30 on May 10th.

The Missouri Military Academy is the number 1 seed they host Fulton at 4:30 on May 10th.

The winners will meet for the District championship on May 12th.

The St. Louis Cardinals fell 5-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies last (Wednesday) night at Busch Stadium.

A scary moment took place as Phillies slugger Bryce Harper had to leave the game after being hit in the face with a 96 mile per hour pitch from Genesis Cabrera.

Harper had a CT scan and said everything came back good.

Cabrera apologized after the game, saying he was overthrowing and missing pitches.

The series finale takes place at Busch Stadium this afternoon with a 12:15 first pitch.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-6 on the road.

The Royals salvaged the 2 game series split and snapped a 7-game losing steak in Pittsburgh dating back to June 28th, 2009.

The Royals have won 6 of its last seven and now head to Minnesota for a three-game set this weekend at Target Field against the Twins.
