The Mexico Boys Tennis Team took 2nd place in the North Central Missouri Conference Tournament yesterday (Wednesday).

In singles Randy Hernandez put up a 4th place All Conference finish.

Haden Frazier and Carter McIntosh had 3rd place All Conference finishes.

Brendan McKeown and Bryson Stuehmer finished 2nd.

And it was Ryan Pemberton taking home a 1st place All Conference finish.

In doubles it was 2nd place All Conference finishes for Noah Harlan and Dominic McKeown.

Andrew Stephens and Matt Huemann.

And the duo of Andrew Pemberton and Declan Gleeson.

Up next is the individual Districts Tournament on Saturday at the Mexico Fairground Netplex at 8:15am.

The St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets split a double header played at Busch Stadium yesterday (Wednesday).

In game one the Cardinals extended their winning streak to 6 games with a 4-1 win.

In game 2 the Mets put an end to the Redbirds 6 game winning streak with a 7-2 victory.

The Cardinals go for a series win today with a 12:15 start.

The Kansas City Royals lost 5-4 to the Cleveland Indians at the K.

The Royals suffered its fourth straight loss.

The St. Louis Blues failed to clinch the final Stanley Cup Playoff berth with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Anaheim Ducks at the Enterprise Center last night (Wednesday).

Jordan Binnington made 33 saves for the Blues.
