Governor Parson Scaling Back Use of Missouri National Guard at COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Sites

Governor Mike Parson is announcing the Missouri National Guard has started to scale back its involvement at mass vaccination sites.

Parson made the announcement yesterday (Thursday) saying there has been a significant decrease for the COVID-19 vaccine in the recent week.

State-supported vaccination teams have administered more than 382,000 vaccines at vaccine clinics around Missouri, making up almost 10 percent of total vaccines administered in the state according to the Governor’s office.

Operations will begin to shift so that a full withdraw of Missouri National Guard members can be achieved by June 1st.
