Fulton Man Sentenced For Transporting Child Pornography On The Internet

A Fulton man is now sentenced to 12 years in federal prison without parole for transporting child pornography on the internet.

35 year old Kevin Michael Downey was sentenced yesterday (Monday) in federal court and also ordered to pay a total of thirty thousand dollars in restitution to 10 of his victims.

On November 3rd of 2020, Downey pleaded guilty to one count of transporting child pornography.

According to court records Downey admitted that he uploaded pornography to his online Dropbox account.

He was employed as a corrections officer at the Boone County Jail at the time of his offense.
