Governor Parson Sets End Date for Pandemic-Related Federal Unemployment Benefits

Governor Mike Parson is announcing an end to supplemental unemployment benefits for Missouri workers.

In the announcement today (Tuesday), Parson’s office says Missouri will end participation in all federal pandemic-related unemployment insurance programs at 11:59pm on Saturday, June 12th.

Both Parson and Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe say that in conversations with business owners around the state, the main concern is the lack of employees for available jobs and that while the benefits provided temporary financial assistance, jobs exist and the demand exists.
