Special Prosecutor Amends Charges in Patricia McCloskey Case

A special prosecutor in the case of Mark and Patricia McCloskey is amending the charge against Patricia and may amend her husband’s charge as well.

The McCloskeys were indicted in October on felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon and evidence tampering.

Yesterday (Monday), special prosecutor Richard Callahan filed a new indictment that would give jurors the alternative of convicting Patricia of misdemeanor harassment instead of the weapons charge with the evidence tampering charge then dropped.

A similar decision will be made on Mark McCloskey’s case in the coming days according to Callahan.

Mark McCloskey announced last week that he is seeking the Republican nomination to replace Senator Roy Blunt in 2022.
