Northeast Missouri Representative Accused of Receiving Sexual Favor

A Northeast Missouri member of the House of Representatives is being accused of receiving a sexual favor from an intoxicated teen while he was a police officer.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Representative Chad Perkins, who serves parts of Monroe, Lincoln, Ralls, and Pike Counties, received the favor in 2015.

Citing a report from Frankford Chief of Police Josh Baker, the Post-Dispatch reports that Baker wrote to the speaker of the Missouri House, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Attorney General’s office and the Police Officer Standards & Training Program “I implore your offices to investigate this ongoing criminal activity.”

Perkins says his relationship with the 19 year old was consensual and the controversy is the result of a local political feud over his decision to not endorse Baker’s wife for her bid for the Pike County Assessor in the 2020 election.

“There was no victim. There’s nothing to that. It was just political sour grapes because I wouldn’t help his wife out.” Perkins is quoted as saying.

Perkins was elected on the Republican ticket to the House in November.
