One Arrest Made in Connection to Shooting in Mexico on West Breckenridge Monday Night

An arrest is now made in a shooting that happened in Mexico earlier this week.

Mexico Public Safety says 30 year old Trayvon D. Walls was identified as the man who had been to a home in the 1000 block of Breckenridge and later crashed his vehicle on North Missouri Street.

It was later determined Walls had been shot one time during the incident on West Breckenridge.

Yesterday (Thursday) the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Walls for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

This morning (Friday) Walls was released from the University Hospital and the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office and Mexico Public Safety arrested Walls at the home of an associate in the 8900 block of Missouri Highway 15.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges or additional people may be charged later.
