KWWR Sports Report 6/28/21

The St. Louis Cardinals fell 7-2 to the Pittsburgh Pirates at Busch Stadium yesterday (Sunday).

25,163 were in attendance and experienced a one hour and four minute long rain delay.

The Redbirds were held without a base-runner into the 7th inning and dropped 3 out of 4 games in the series to the Pirates.

The Cardinals remain at Busch Stadium tonight starting a series with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Kansas City Royals lost 4-1 to the Texas Rangers on the road.

The Royals suffered a series sweep and it was Kansas City’s fifth 3-game sweep so far this season.

Kansas City is now 1-5 on this 10 game-road trip, and head back to the East Coast tonight (Monday) to face the American League East-leading Red Sox.

Mexico, Missouri native and head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers Tyronn Lue will try to keep his team from being eliminated from the NBA’s Western Conference Finals tonight (Monday).

Lue and his Clippers trail 3-1 to the Phoenix Suns.

Tonight’s (Monday) game is in Phoenix and has an 8pm tip-off.
