Missouri Legislature Passes Medicaid Funding Tax

With hours to spare before Governor Mike Parson’s deadline, Missouri lawmakers today (Wednesday) passes a critical Medicaid funding tax.

The tax had been set to expire at the end of September and is expected to bring in $1.6 billion in the upcoming fiscal year which begins tomorrow (Thursday).

Parson called a special session last week to act on the renewal.
