The Missouri Tigers Football Team and Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz had a big recruiting weekend landing two 4-star recruits.

On Friday top ranked running back Tavorus Jones committed to the ZOU, then on Saturday, Nebraska native Deshawn Woods joined the squad.

Woods is ranked 19th in his position nationwide, and first overall in Nebraska according to Rivals.

St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Alex Reyes will be joining his teammate Nolan Arenado to take part in the All-Star Game.

For Reyes it will be his first All-Star Game appearance.

Reyes has converted 22 consecutive saves to start is career, tied with Tippy Martinez for the second most in American League/National League history, and one behind LaTroy Hawkins.

In baseball yesterday (Sunday) the St. Louis Cardinals suffered another walk-off defeat with a 3-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.

The Redbirds went 1-3 in the 4 game series and will be at San Francisco tonight starting a series with the Giants.

The Kansas City Royals offense did not provide enough fireworks on the Fourth of July losing 6-2 to the Minnesota Twins in the series finale at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals remain at home tonight as they play against the Cincinnati Reds.
