The NHL Expansion Draft is set for July 21st and we know one thing for sure: a current Blues player will become a Seattle Kraken.
Who it will be remains to be seen.
Seattle gets to pick one player from each NHL team except the Vegas Golden Knights and will have to pick a minimum of 14 forwards, 9 defensemen and 3 goalies.
Teams can choose to protect 7 forwards, 3 defensemen and 1 goalie OR 8 skaters and 1 goalie.
Blues GM Doug Armstrong hasn’t released his decision yet, but in 2017 he chose the first option and Vegas selected David Perron.
We’ll find out 2 weeks from today who heads to Seattle from The Lou.
For the second night in a row, the Cards have beaten the best team in baseball at this point.
Nolan Arenado and Edmundo Sosa homered to back Adam Wainwright’s fourth straight winning decision, Paul Goldschmidt hit a two-run single in the fourth inning and the Cards hung on to win 6-5.
Salvador Perez the hero last night in Kansas City as his walk-off single capped the Royals’ four-run rally to beat the Reds 7-6.
KC scored six runs off the Reds’ bullpen in the final 2 innings and Salvy got his 3rd game-ending hit this season.
