CDC Revises Mask Guidance
The CDC is updating masking guidelines for those fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The CDC now recommends that masks be worn indoors when in substantial or high transmission areas as identified by the CDC.
Those two categories make up all but 2 counties in Missouri – Stoddard in the bootheel and Scotland in northeast Missouri are in the moderate spread category.
According to CDC data, Audrain county has 27.9% fully vaccinated residents, Boone has 48.2%, Callaway has 34.2% and Monroe has 33.7%.
50.3% of Missourians 18 and over are fully vaccinated as of July 23rd according to CDC data.
