Weekend of Free Events At National Churchill Museum

Sixteen months after closing due to the pandemic, the National Churchill Museum on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton is reopening.

The museum kicked off a weekend of free events today (Friday) with a guided tour of the museum along with a demonstration of the Mander Organ at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury.

An ice cream social tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 11 begins a day of guided tours and gallery talks that will continue Sunday.

Sir Winston Churchill delivered his famous “Sinews of Peace” speech at Westminster College on March 5, 1946, describing how “From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the Continent.”

Free admission to the Museum is being provided by the Callaway County Tourism Board.
