Audrain County Shows Slight Decrease In Population In 2020 Census

Audrain County had a .5% decrease in total population according to the 2020 Census.

The data released yesterday showed 24,962 residents lived in Audrain County in 2020, which was a slight decrease from 2010 when the county had 25,529 residents.

Audrain County’s Hispanic or Latino population grew by 9 percent over the past decade, with 731 residents in 2020 and 665 in 2010.

Audrain County’s Black population has dropped over 20 percent in the past 10 years. In 2010 it was 1,646 that decreased to 1,307 in 2020.

Missouri’s population is getting older, according to the 2020 Census.

The state’s under-18 population dropped by 3.2% over the last 10 years.

The overall state population grew only slightly at 2.8% over the past decade.
