The Missouri State High School Activities Association is releasing screening protocols for COVID-19 positive athletes, regardless of their vaccination status.

If a high school athlete has had COVID-19 in the past two months, they are required to get a health screening before returning to their sport.

Once a student’s isolation period is complete, they will need a visit to their primary care provider to go through a cardiac screening for heart issues.

If students receive a negative screening, then they begin a 7-day return-to-play process to ease them back into physical activity.
