Man Accused of Fleeing Audrain County Vehicle Pursuit Arrested During Probation Visit

The man accused of taking an Audrain County K9 unit on a vehicle chase on Monday night has been arrested.

The pursuit took place as the K9 unit attempted to stop a vehicle in Laddonia on Highway 54 and continued to wind through country roads and the driver eventually left his vehicle on Wade Street in Mexico near Plunkett Park and fled.

According to Audrain County Sheriff Matt Oller his department received a call from the Fulton Probation and Parole Office yesterday (Tuesday) that 39 year old Justin Ray Waters had shown up for his scheduled visit.

Audrain County Sheriff’s Deputies then arrested Waters and he was taken to the Audrain County Jail.

He is facing charges of felony driving while revoked or suspended.

Failing to yield to an emergency vehicle sounding siren and displaying red/blue light.

Operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and resisting arrest by fleeing-creating risk injury/death to any person.
