The St. Louis Cardinals punched their ticket for the post season, seizing the final Wild Card spot in the National League after defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2 last night (Tuesday) at Busch Stadium.

The Redbirds also extended their franchise-record winning streak to 17 games. Adam Wainwright picked up his 17th win of the season and the offense featured three home runs from Dylan Carlson, Nolan Arenado and Jose Rondon.

The Cardinals and Brewers play game 2 of their 3 game set tonight at 6:45 at Busch.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Cleveland Indians 6-4 at the K. Salvador Perez hit his 47th home run of the season. The ball traveled 429 feet and Perez celebrated his Major League-Leading home run with his teammates in the dugout.

Perez’s 47 home runs are one shy of the Royals’ single-season home run record, set by Jorge Soler in 2019.
