Centralia Man Charged in Audrain County Accused of Threatening Dogs With a Gun

A Centralia man is being charged in Audrain County after an incident where he is accused of using a gun in front of multiple witnesses to threaten dogs.

According to court documents Charles Schnepp is charged with 2nd degree terrorist threat, first-degree harassment and 2 counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

The incident happened on October 26th on Audrain Road 234 where Schnepp is accused of threatening to shoot a person’s dogs.

Court records show while Audrain County Deputies were responding to the call, Schnepp traveled close to an Amish schoolhouse where he again threatened dogs this time in front of 19 children.

Schnepp then left on a motorcycle and went to his residence, according to court records, Schnepp threw a motorcycle helmet on the ground near a deputy.

Deputies say they found a gun and pepper spray on Schnepp’s motorcycle.

He appeared on video for his initial court hearing yesterday (Thursday).

A disposition hearing is scheduled for December 9th.
