First Female Audrain County Commissioner Sworn In

Audrain County has it’s first female commissioner.

Leslie Meyer was sworn in at the Audrain County Courthouse this afternoon (Monday) after being appointed to fill the vacant position of Audrain County Eastern District Commissioner by Governor Mike Parson.

The vacancy was created in September when Alan Winders was appointed presiding commissioner after Steve Hobbs resigned to take another job.

Leslie grew up in Louisiana and is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri.

She is married to Scott who she farms with between Benton City and Rush Hill and she owns Leslie A. Meyer Photography.

Leslie is the mother of 17 year old Paige, who is a member of the Community R6 Lady Trojans basketball team and 14 year old Kat, an 8th grade student at CR-6, and 11 year old Wyatt, a 5th grader at St. Brendan Catholic School in Mexico.

Leslie says she is excited to work with Commissioner Winders and Commissioner Tracy Graham to be able to work for the residents in Audrain County.
