Audrain Community Hospital Gets Radiological Designation

Audrain Community Hospital is receiving a designation from the American College of Radiology.

In a social media post today (Thursday), the hospital says they have been designated a lung cancer screening center.

The designation is a voluntary program that recognizes facilities that have committed to practice safe, effective diagnostic care for those at the highest risk for lung cancer.

In order to receive the designation, facilities must be accredited by the American College of Radiology, undergo an assessment of its lung cancer screening protocol and have procedures in place for follow-up care like counseling and smoking cessation programs.
