Mexico Bulldogs End Season at Semifinals of High School Football Playoffs

The Mexico Bulldogs football team had their season come to an end in the Class 3 semifinals of the high school playoffs losing to the St. Mary’s Dragons 62-16.

The Dragons got off to a quick lead on their first possession when Quincy Gibson went 93 yards and scored at the 8:30 mark of the first quarter.

St. Mary’s would score 4 touchdowns in the first quarter and would go into halftime with a 48-0 lead.

Mexico’s star running back Michael White would score the Bulldogs first touchdown of the game at the 3:52 mark of the third quarter.

White scored again in the 4th on a 10 yard rush. St. Mary’s 5 star wide receiver Kevin Coleman ended the game with 5 touchdowns as the Dragons move onto their first State championship game in school history.

St. Mary’s will face St. Pius X for the Class 3 State title on Saturday, December 4th at 11am at Faurot Field.

The Mexico Bulldogs end the season at 10-3 and match a school record for most wins in a season.
