City of Auxvasse Chief of Police Charged With Domestic Assault
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department is reporting the arrest of Auxvasse Police Chief Kevin Suedmeyer on domestic assault charges.
According to a press release from Clay Chism’s office, deputies responded to the Carrington area Tuesday afternoon for a domestic disturbance.
Investigation identified off-duty Suedmeyer as a suspect in an assault involving his son.
Suedmeyer was arrested and charged with fouth degree domestic assault and posted $1,500 bond at the Callaway County Jail.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office’s domestic violence investigators are continuing the investigation.
The City of Auxvasse released a statement this morning (Thursday) announcing Suedmeyer’s suspension pending the outcome of the investigation and that Officer Robert Harrison has been placed as interim Chief of Police until further notice.
