Mexico Bulldogs Boys and Girls Varsity Teams Pick Up Conference Wins Against Kirksville
The Mexico boys and girls Bulldogs Varsity basketball teams each picked up wins over Kirksville tonight (Tuesday) on the road.
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs defeated the Kirksville Lady Tigers 47-37.
The Mexico girls were down 8-1 after the first quarter and trailed by four at halftime.
The Lady Bulldogs completed the comeback in the second half and improved to 5-1.
Riley Thurman led the way with 16 points and Mya Miller finished with 15. Claire Hudson had 6 points, Taylor DeMint recorded 5 points, Lexi Willer had 3 points, and Messiah Simpson rounded out the Mexico scoring book with 2.
The Lady Bulldogs are now 2-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
The Mexico Bulldogs boys pushed their record to a perfect 6-0 beating Kirksville 60-47.
The Mexico boys would trail in the first half by as many as 10 points.
Isaiah Reams scored 21 points, DJ Long finished with 12, Daeye Miller was in double digits with 10, Michael White recorded 7 points, Anthony Shivers had 4, and Payton Willer finished with 2 points.
The Mexico boys are now 2-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
Both the Mexico boys and girls will be back in action on Thursday at home against Hannibal.
