KWWR Sports Report 12/17/21
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 34-28 last night (Thursday) on the road in overtime.
After a shaky first 3 quarters, Patrick Mahomes delivered with 2 touchdown passes and a 2-point conversion in the final period to rally the Chiefs into overtime.
Mahomes then led the Chiefs down the field on the first possession of overtime, throwing a 34-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce to give Kansas City the victory.
Mahomes finished the game completing 31 of 47 passes for 400 yards.
The Chiefs won their 7th straight game to move to 10-4 and are now 2 games ahead of the Chargers, their closest pursuers in the AFC West.
Kansas City can clinch their 6th straight division title by winning 2 of their final three games.
The St. Louis Blues look to make 2 in a row over the Dallas Stars when they return home to the Enterprise Center tonight (Friday).
