Community R-VI Lady Trojans Start Off New Franklin Tournament With a Bang
The Community R-VI Lady Trojans basketball team opened up play in the New Franklin Tournament last night (Monday) with a 60-26 first-round win over Bunceton. The Lady Trojans are the number 1 seed in the tournament, while Bunceton is the 8th seed.
Lady Trojans Head Coach Bob Curtis reports a big first quarter set the tone for the game as we jumped out 23 to 5 in the first frame. Our press was good and created some easy buckets in transition. Sarah filled up the stat sheet with 25 pts. 4 assists and 5 steals. We had 9 different girls score and 14 play in the contest. We have been working on our depth the first half of this season trying to find solid production out of our bench. This was a good game for that.
Record: 10-1
