Felony Charges Filed Against Kingdom City Man Following Overnight Vehicle Pursuit

Multiple felony charges are now filed against a Kingdom City man accused of taking police on a vehicle pursuit early this morning (Tuesday) around Fulton and Kingdom City.

According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies tried to stop 33 year old Jared Evans around 3:24 this morning who had earlier fled from the Fulton Police Department.

A lengthy 40 minute vehicle pursuit then began on county and state roadways.

During the course of the pursuit, Evans is accused of turning around twice and driving head-on at 2 Callaway County deputies, nearly hitting them.

Evans eventually crashed at the intersection of County Road 209 and Tara Ridge Road and was arrested.

He was taken to a Columbia hospital for medical treatment, and then transferred to the Callaway County Jail.
