It was a packed house at the Mexico High School Sports Complex last night (Tuesday) as the Mexico Bulldogs and Fulton Hornets faced off in basketball.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs extended their current winning streak to seven after defeating the Fulton Lady Hornets 58-26.

Taylor DeMint was on fire, hitting 6 three pointers and finishing the game with 22 points.

Mya Miller got into double digits for yet another game with 18. The Mexico Lady Bulldogs have not lost to the Fulton Lady Hornets since February 25th, 2016. The Mexico girls are 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

The Mexico Bulldogs boys and Fulton boys went into overtime in a matchup of 2 powerhouses in high school basketball. The Bulldogs defeated the Hornets 68-61. Mexico holds a 2-0 advantage in the season series against Fulton now. Mexico defeated Fulton in the Montgomery County tournament 73-61 on December 4th, 2021.

Four Bulldogs got into double digits.

They were led by Isaiah Reams who threw down 23 points along with a dunk. Michael White with 15, DJ Long 12 and Daeye Miller with 10 points.

The Mexico boys remain undefeated on the season with a record of 9-0 and are now 4-0 in the NCMC.

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has selected the Missouri women’s basketball team as their national team of the week following the Tigers upset of Number 1 South Carolina.

The Mizzou women earned the program’s first victory over an AP number 1 ranked team last week.

Mizzou had only 8 players available for the contest and played only seven.

The St. Louis Blues hit the road tonight when they play the Pittsburgh Penguins. Puck drops at 6:30.
