Community R-VI Lady Trojans Defeat Paris Coyotes In Opening Round of Sturgeon Tournament

The Community R-VI Lady Trojans picked up a 60-29 opening round win over Paris in the Sturgeon Tournament last night (Monday).

The Lady Trojans the 1 seed played the 8 seed Paris Coyotes and Alexis Welch notched 6 three’s in the first half.

Welch finished the game with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. Sarah Angel got into double digits with 12 points and 4 steals.

Olivia Kuda had 7 points, Paige Meyer put up 4 points and blocked 3 shots.

The Lady Trojans improved to 16-1 on the season.
