Mexico Resident Involved In Columbia Accident That Killed A Jefferson City Woman
The Columbia Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that happened last night (Thursday) near the 130 mile marker of I-70 near the Clark Lane Exit.
According to the accident report it happened when 2 vehicles were both traveling eastbound on I-70, one of the vehicles driven by 51 year old Brandon D. Darris of Columbia experienced mechanical issues while driving in the driving lane and was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by 52 year old Michael L. Landis of Mexico.
Darris’ vehicle came to rest in the median against the cable barrier.
A passenger in the back seat of Darris’ vehicle, 67 year old Lacy Jordan of Jefferson City was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.
According to the accident report Landis was uninjured and Darris had minor injuries.
