Area Agencies Prepare For Impending Winter Storm

Several agencies around the area are keeping a close eye on the impending winter weather forecast over the next several days.

Mexico Public Safety Major Brice Mesko says their preplanning consists of making sure they can get staff into the station to work their shift.

Audrain County Presiding Commissioner Alan Winders says during the weather event if at all possible stay at home.

Winders says the Audrain County Commission will also need to make a decision about whether the Audrain County Courthouse remains open during the storm.

Winders says they will have to wait and see if the Courthouse closes and will send out the message as soon as a decision is made.
