Mexico Basketball Completes Season Sweep Against Marshall Owls
The Mexico Bulldogs boys and girls basketball teams were both victorious over the Marshall Owls on the road tonight (Monday) and completed the season sweep.
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs defeated the Marshall Lady Owls 63-32.
Riley Thurman finished with a game high 20 points, Jordan Thurman and Mya Miller each had 13 points respectively, and Lexie Willer got into double digits with 10.
The Mexico girls improved to 12-6 overall and 5-1 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
The Mexico boys won 74-37 over Marshall.
Four Bulldogs players reached double digits.
Senior Isaiah Reams led the way with 18 points, Jordan Shelton chipped in 15 points, and Michael White and Daeye Miller had 10 points each respectively.
The Mexico boys are now 18-0 and 6-0 in the NCMC.
The Bulldogs boys could tie the school record for best start to a season if they win their next game. That record is currently held by the 2010-2011 Bulldogs boys team who started 19-0.
Mexico boys and girls will play Moberly on Thursday night at the Moberly High School.
