KWWR Sports Report 3/9/22
The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team kept their magical season alive last night defeating St. Charles West 61-48 in the Sectional round of the State playoffs.
The Bulldogs improved their record to a perfect 28-0 on the season.
Mexico is now just one win away from the Final Four.
Up next they face Vashon on Saturday, at Francis Howell Central High School in St. Charles with a 2:45pm tip.
The Hallsville Lady Indians earned a 55-49 comeback win over the Orchard Farm Lady Eagles last night in a Class 4 Sectional match up.
Orchard Farm led 55-47 with three and a half minutes left to play, from there, a 12-0 run ensued for the Lady Indians.
Hallsville will play John Burroughs on Saturday with a 1pm tip.
The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team heads south to Tampa, Florida, for the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament tonight (Wednesday).
The Tigers’ open the tournament as the 12th seed and will face off in the first round against 13th-seeded Ole Miss. Tip is set for 5pm.
The St. Louis Blues lost 4-1 to the Ottawa Senators at the Enterprise Center last night (Tuesday).
David Perron scored the lone goal for the Blues who suffered their 4th consecutive loss, which ties their longest stretch of the season without a win.
The Blues remain at home for a game against the New York Rangers tomorrow night (Thursday).
