Mexico Man Arrested After Being an Occupant in a Vehicle Fleeing from Police in Cole County
A Mexico man has minor injuries and is facing multiple charges after being accused of fleeing from police in a vehicle involved in a 4 car accident in Cole County yesterday afternoon (Monday).
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened on Dix Road at Westbound US 50.
A vehicle driven by 18 year old Tiffany R. Ayala of Centertown was fleeing from officers, exited westbound US 50 at Dix road, failing to negotiate the turn causing her vehicle to collide with a vehicle.
That vehicle then spun and collided with a 3rd vehicle.
Ayala’s vehicle then continued on Dix Road and collided with a 4th vehicle.
22 year old Myron S. Mahaney of Mexico was an occupant in Ayala’s vehicle.
Mahaney was arrested for 2nd degree trafficking of methamphetamine, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting arrest.
