Two Indicted In World Finance Robbery In Mexico Last May
The United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri is announcing the indictment of a Columbia man and a Moberly woman for a string of armed robberies.
30-year old Drake Adam Stockton-Kenney and 28-year old Mary Catherine Sumpter are alleged to have participated in an armed robbery conspiracy between February and August of 2021, stealing at gunpoint money from Check Into Cash in Moberly, World Finance in Mexico, Advance America in Marshall, Check ‘n Go in Hannibal, and Alliant Bank locations in Pilot Grove and Boonville.
The total amount stolen is over $35,000.
The indictment was handed down by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City on Wednesday and made public today (Friday) following Sumpter’s arrest.
According to Major Brice Mesko with Mexico Public Safety, they worked alongside FBI agents in the Eastern and Western districts of Missouri along with other jurisdictions involved to share information that lead to the indictment.
