KWWR Sports Report 3/26/22

The Mexico Bulldogs high school baseball team lost 12-4 to Marshall last night (Friday).

Bulldogs pitcher Jack Wilburn went six innings and struck out 3. Daeye Miller had 2 hits in 4 at bats.

Mexico is now 2-1 on the season.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Washington Nationals 5-4 yesterday (Friday) in Spring Training. St. Louis pushed their Spring Training record to 5-1. The Redbirds are back in action today (Saturday) playing the Milwaukee Brewers with a 12:05 first pitch.

The Kansas City Royals lost 8-4 to the Texas Rangers.

Several more teams punched their ticket into the elite eight in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament last night (Friday).

Saint Peters continued their Cindarella story defeating Purdue 67-64.

The underdog Peacocks became the first number 15 seed to win a third game in the NCAA tournament.

Miami, Florida took out Iowa State.

North Carolina advanced over UCLA.

Kansas remains the only number 1 seed left in the tournament beating Providence 66-61.

Tonight’s games (Saturday) will see Villanova play Houston, and Duke battle Arkansas with a trip to the Final 4 on the line.
