KWWR Sports Report 4/11/22

The Mexico Bulldogs girls soccer team went 2-1 at the Lady Spartan Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Mexico lost 8-0 to Chillicothe and lost 4-1 to Mid-Buchanan.

Shelby Kennemore scored a goal in that game.

Then Mexico finished the Spartan Invitational out on a high note with a 2-0 victory over Boonville.

Shelby Kennemore and Emily Moppin scored goals in the win.

Tessa Haefling recorded yet another shutout.

The Lady Bulldogs host Moberly at home tonight (Monday).

The Mexico boys tennis team lost 9-0 to Capital City on Friday.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 9-5 to the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday (Sunday).

The Redbirds go for the series win against the Pirates this afternoon (Monday) at Busch Stadium.

Dakota Hudson is on the mound, first pitch at 1:15.

The Kansas City Royals will try to rebound from a 17-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians.

The Royals have started the season off at 2-1 and play Cleveland in the series finale at 1:10 this afternoon at Kauffman Stadium.
