KWWR Sports Report 5/4/22

The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team fell 5-2 to the Eldon Mustangs last night (Tuesday) in Fulton.

The game was tied in the top of the seventh when the Mustangs scored two runs.

Austin Maxwell threw six and a third innings for the Bulldogs and struck out two.

Andrew Runge, Ty Sims, Tristan Playter and Tyler Thoenen each collected one hit to lead the Bulldogs offense.

In another game from the Fulton Tournament last night (Tuesday) Southern Boone shut out North Callaway 10-0. Southern Boone improved their record to 25-1 and are currently ranked 2nd in the State in Class 4.

Mizzou baseball took down South East Missouri 9-3 last night (Tuesday).

The Tigers led the entire game and scored a run in every inning except the first and fifth.

Mizzou is back in action Friday in Oxford against Ole Miss.

The Kansas City Royals bested the St. Louis Cardinals 7-1 last night (Tuesday) at the K.

The Redbirds offense went quiet producing only six hits in the game.

The Cardinals and Royals are back at it in Kansas City today (Wednesday) with a 12:10 first pitch.
