Mexico Man Arrested Accused of Shooting Out Windows at Audrain Community Hospital
A Mexico man is facing multiple charges after an arrest where he is accused of shooting out several windows at the Audrain Community Hospital building.
Mexico Public Safety officers responded to the 600 block of East Monroe just before 6:30 on Saturday and found the damage near the former emergency room entrance.
Mexico Public Safety says information from cooperative area residents and video led to the identification of 56 year old Jeffrey W. Hunnington.
He turned himself in around 10:55 Saturday night.
He was then taken to the Audrain County Jail for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Property Damage, and Armed Criminal Action.
According to social media he was married to a furloughed employee of the hospital.
This the second arrest in less than a month for damage to the Audrain Community Hospital.
Geoffrey Allen another former employee of the hospital was arrested by Mexico Public Safety on April 14th after being accused of breaking into the hospital and destroying a water fountain and breaking glass out of a trophy case.
Allen has hearing scheduled for 9am on June 7th.
