Mizzou short stop Josh Day became the Tigers baseball program’s first all-conference selection since 2019 when he was named 2nd Team All-SEC yesterday (Monday).

Day led Mizzou with 67 hits in 2022 and scored a team-high 50 runs.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 7-3 in ten innings in grand fashion at Busch Stadium last night (Monday).

Paul Goldschmidt hit a grand slam to drive in Lars Nootbar, Tommy Edman and Edmundo Sosa in the 10th to give the Redbirds the victory.

St. Louis wraps up their two-game series with Toronto tonight (Tuesday) at Busch.

The St. Louis Cardinals made a slew of moves yesterday (Monday) ahead of their series opener with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Catcher Yadier Molina was placed on the Bereavement List. Molina will reportedly travel to Puerto Rico to be with his son, who will have surgery today on an arm he injured in a baseball game.

The Cardinals also sent two players to the injured list yesterday (Monday).

Starting pitcher Steven Matz went on the 15-day injured list with a left shoulder impingement.

The Cardinals recalled top prospect Matthew Liberatore.

St. Louis placed starting right fielder Dylan Carlson on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Sunday.

Carlson has a strained left hamstring.

The Kansas City Royals lost 9-5 to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Royals starting pitcher Zack Greinke returned to one of his former home ballparks and was tagged for seven earned runs in 2 2/3 innings in their series-opening loss.

The St. Louis Blues fell 6-3 to the Colorado Avalanche in Game 4 of the Western Conference Second Round at the Enterprise Center.

David Perron scored twice for the Blues.

St. Louis trails 3-1 in the best-of-seven series. Game 5 will be in Colorado tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat 102-82 last night (Monday) in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The series is tied at two games apiece.
