Creative Foods Ingredients Reopens Food Plant in Mexico Bringing Back Former Employees of Rise Baking Company

A food plant in Mexico is back up and running and has put former employees of the Rise Baking Company and Dawn Foods back to work.

Creative Food Ingredients is located at 1400 Vance Road and acquired the former Rise baking manufacturing facility in Mexico in January.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the facility today (Thursday).

Plant manager Todd Lockhart says Creative Foods Ingredients has around 44 employees currently and they gave former employees of the Rise Baking Company the first opportunity at employment at the plant.

Lockhart says they offered them back with their seniority, at the same rate of pay and with the same vacation time they accrued with Rise Baking Company.

Creative Food Ingredients products include fresh cookies and toppings for companies like Nestle, Starbucks, Schwanns and Dairy Queen.

Production will get underway on Monday, June 6th.
