KWWR Sports Report 6/28/22
Mizzou baseball infielder Josh Day announced on Twitter yesterday (Monday) that he is entering the transfer portal.
Day enters the portal after spending the last two seasons with Mizzou where he compiled a .296 batting average, nine home runs and 50 RBIs over 93 games.
The Tigers also added transfer Dylan Leach, a catcher for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Leach joins the Mizzou Baseball team after playing two seasons with Arkansas.
Leach appeared in 41 games for the Razorbacks and batted .237 with five home runs and 20 RBIs.

The St. Louis Cardinals put up a big 9-0 win over the Miami Marlins last night (Monday) at Busch Stadium.
Cardinals veteran first baseman Paul Goldschmidt got the night started in the first inning by hitting his 19th home run of the season.
Then Redbirds rookie Juan Yepez capped off the night with two home runs.
Statcast projected 393 feet and 402 feet for the first two-home run night of the rookie’s Major League Baseball career.
The St. Louis Cardinals made some moves due to injuries yesterday 9Monday).
Starting pitcher Jack Flaherty has been placed on the 15-day injured list and outfielder Harrison Bader was placed on the 10-day injured list.
Flaherty was placed on the injured list with a right shoulder strain after going just two innings on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs due to a dead arm.
Bader, has been bothered by foot trouble for weeks, and landed on the injured list due to right foot plantar fasciitis.

The Kansas City Royals lost 10-4 to the Texas Rangers at the K.
The Rangers scored seven runs off starter Kris Bubic and three more against reliever Matt Peacock.
The Peacock network will stream the July 3rd game between the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers without announcers in the booth.
Instead, reporters will take fans around Detroit’s Comerica Park and view the game from different vantage points.
NBC Sports executive producer Sam Flood says it is an opportunity to try something different and bring the fan experience to TV.
